Hi DOGG, New archiver for you. KGB Archiver is the compression tool with unbelievable high compression rate. It surpasses even such efficient compression tool like 7zip and UHARC in terms of the abilities. Unfortunately although its powerful compression rate, it has high hardware requirements (I recommend processor with 1,5GHz clock and 256MB of RAM as an essential minimum). One of the advantages of KGB Archiver is also AES-256 encryption which is used to encrypt the archives. This is one of the strongest encryptions known for human. www.icpnet.pl/~tomekpawlak/kgb/

As far as I am aware, KGB currently has the following features.
* Freeware
* PAQ6 compression engine
* Windows installer
* Windows GUI
* SFX support
* Password protected archives with AES-256 encryption
* Integration into Windows context menus
* Polish, English, Russian and (in next version) Chinese language support

Impressive result!
How does it compare to WinRK and WinUDA for compression speed?

Well, i'd just finished writing the message and was about to hit post. Had my hand on the mouse when my computer decided to crash (after 5 days non-stop working under 100% load). From what i remember & recycle bin archives: winuda 0.921 classic (mode3) = 68 seconds?, 1,076KB kgb (good) = 4+ minutes, 1,072KB winrk 3.0 beta 2 (normal) = 7 seconds, 1,056KB winrk 3.0 beta 2 (best assym.) = 17 seconds, 1,192KB winrk 3.0 beta 2 (high) = 1minute+ , 1,048KB WinRK kills the competition with speed & ratio. But do remember that it uses a text dictionary and it uses PPMd for text files. in normal mode.
