Yeah you're right. You know... I've been having the worst luck when it comes to computers lately. I have 2 computers in my house. Both died at around the same time. One wouldn't work at normal speeds, the other had issues with data corruption. I won't get into the details. But i've replaced the left one and that's what i'm writing from now. I do all my compression stuff on the right machine which has been out of action for 2 weeks. It'll be about another 2-4 weeks before the right one gets replaced. Then i can begin thinking about compression tests. In the mean time i have to build another computer for a friend. It's all getting to me. Computer this, computer that. The specs of my new beast are: nforce 4 1024 ram @ 203.37mhz 2-3-3-6-1T 128M 6600GT @ 550 / 1100 Hypertransport speed @ 258.84 x4 = 1035.36mhz San Diego @ 2847.22mhz Performance is better than an FX-57. The FX-57 (CPU only) costs $1600+ here. I built my machine (minus mouse/kb/speakers/monitor/HDD) for $1100
